Father and son Hunt

Hello, My father is 75 years old and has been hunting michigan white tail since he was 12. The largest deer he has taken is a small 6 point (3x3) Due to his age he can not hunt alone or drive to far. This year I couldn't get the time off to take him during the November hunt. Soo half out of guilt and half out of really wanting too I found a guide in Norther Utah with garanteed tags and booked mule deer hunts for us. The hunt will be from September 28th, until November 3rd. hopefully not to cold out there as he is having a hard time with the cold. This will be his first and last hunt out west I am sure. It will be my first. His health is failing so I am trying to make this the hunt of a lifetime. For him to enjoy and talk about and for me hopefully life long memories. We both shoot 30-06's and I bought him a new scope. it is a Nikon 4-16x50. I would appreciate any advise I could get from anyone who has hunted mule deer, used an outfitter or hunted in northern Utah. Lastly all yall wish us luck. I want to see my dad get a monster! or at least ===a buck!
