i just did my points in nevada this year :>/ but i will go into next year with 5 points. so hopefully i can pull a nice tag!

did you put in for oregon? what unit? i have been on quit a few of are late season hunts, with me or my buddies having the tags. if you ever draw, make sure to let me know. i'll help as much as possible! how many points?

 You should've put in for Nevada. Seems with the economy the way it is, a lot less people are putting in. I hope I can finally draw a premium elk tag. I've waited my whole life for one.

I'm just waiting for CO, and CA now. I put my son and I in for points (deer) in NV, and AZ. Hoping to get a tag next year in NV (early enough it doesn't interfere with school) so I can take my 14 year old son on his first out-of-state trip. I didn't draw in UT or WY (deer) or AZ (elk). I'll probably draw in CO.......so I'll be backpacking into the alpine again this year.

If I don't draw anything, I'll try and buy a leftover UT archery tag and hunt after the first portion of September. While waiting, I'll offer to help Kory Bundy and Garrett Carr glass for bucks on the Strip if he has an archery client the end of August.

There was an article in todays paper about the upcoming draw. The tags allotments have been set. Deer tags are down by 354, bull elk tags are up by 268, and buck antelope tags are up by 275. Sheep got about 6 more tags added.

With the allotment set, the draw can now take place. It should be held within a week. You should start to see hits on your cards late next week or early the following week.

 Not possible. The CC hits come first here. The emails come next, usually the day after the CC hits. There's usually a 2 day lapse between the time the CC are hit and the posting on the internet.

We spend those two days running every possible tag scenario we may have until the results post or the emails come.

Anyways, good luck in the draw.

Nothing on my debit card today... yet! There's still a remote possibility that the electronic draw will take place today. If not today, then early next week is my best guess.

They did the draw a little different this year. They usually draw and then charge you, or reject you if your card is declined. They did it backwards this year and posted a notice to make sure you have it covered.

Here's the notice they put up.

ATTENTION HUNTER! – If you are a successful hunter and used a credit card to apply make sure there are sufficient funds available on the credit card. If your credit card number, expiration date or CID number has changed, please call 1-800-576-1020 with the new information. If the credit card is declined your tag will go to an alternate if you cannot be contacted.

They normally don't give you the opportunity to cover your card. Either way, I'm stoked! Me and my boys also drew deer tags. And another friend of mine drew the same archery bull hunt as Derek. Gonna be a busy elk hunt this year! We're hunting the premier bull country so there's a lot of opportunity for trophy bulls.

Looks like I was blanked this year for archery tags in Nevada. Is there 101 tags left over the state for archery or tags left in unit 101? Looks like i will be praying for a 2nd draw tag in a new area this year.

Well thats a relief I guess. I just don't understand the draw good enough I guess. My buddies that I hunt elk with out of state drew my first choice area which was their third choice unit with no points. We had points in our group and we got blanked. :-k Oh well at least we got another shot at it. That is alot of junior hunts and does hunts left over. Thanks for the info. Do you have an idea when they will post the 2nd draw opportunities and for what unit?

 I believe it relists in July. I also wonder about the draw system. I have multiple points also and drew my last choice (5th). Didn't draw Antelope or Elk, all with multiple points. Maybe, it's because I'm alsways successful lol Oh well, I'm just glad to be going hunting.

Pretty sure that's 101 leftover tags for the whole state. The 70's don't even have that many tags. Congrats Ike. I had that tag 5 years ago. My unit went from 9 NR tags in 08 to 3 NR tags in 09. Nedless to say No tag fro me with 4 points. Don't forget NM still has their drawing too. Ed F

First time in 27 years my Dad (and by defalut me) didnt draw a NV tag for mule deer archery!!! ](*,)
We are keeping our fingers crossed for the second draw and the reminaing 101 archery tags and 3 cow elk tags... but it is a long shot.
