First Hunt California X9b this Fall!

Hello from California! I was lucky enough to get drawn for X9b this fall. I'm new to hunting Mule Deer, having hunted upland, and waterfowl prior. I'm hunting with an experienced Deer hunter, so I think that'll help my learning curve somewhat. Any tips for conditioning for a hike in hunt?
