I just picked up my first trail cam!! It's a 35 mm stealthcam. I was wondering if you guy's ever have troubles with critters wrecking them? Also I have it set for 2 pictures per min once an animal triggers it. How many pics do you usually set yours for. How high off the ground do you usually set yours? Please explain your set up!! I need idea's !!! Thanks CD

I have had trouble with Elk wrecking mine here in Utah, nothing to bad though. But yes, critters will lick, taste, poke, attack, the cams. They don't seem to like them. Seems that bears aren't a fan of them either, haven't had any problems with deer yet.
I have mine set on max picture speed, can't remeber even what that is at the moment. But I want as many pics as possible, I would recommend using the max pic setting whatever that is.
I focus on deer, so 3-4 feet off the ground is good for me. What are you trying to get pics of mainly. Just put it at the level of your species.
Be sure and not stick it in front of trees or bushes etc. that will blow in the wind. Watch the sun also.
have fun and good luck.
Can't wait to see some pics.
I got the same camera, it works great.
