For those that know the area or have "been there" these will look very familiar. I'm sure some have heard of the tremendous moisture and snow pack that Cedar Moutain received this past year...then of course the heat wave recently that has caused lots of flooding on the Asey, Mammoth, & Sevier Rivers.
Well here are some pics...anyone familiar with this area? It's in my opinion "Gods' Country"

Sorry I uploaded this one in, just sickens me. This fawn was aborted from it's mother after being hit and killed by a car. Sad thing is there was another fawn still in the mom. Man I wish we could somehow do more to protect the slaughtering of deer on our highways.

Hey man those are some great pictures. I personally love checking out other peoples stomping grounds. I personally have never been in this area, someday I hope. I guess someday I will have to get some pictures I have of the Jackson Hole area. I have alot of wildlife photos but also some scenery pictures, yellowstone, grand teton park, elk refuge, and many other pretty well known areas in north western wyomng.
It is sad to see these deer getting taken out by vehicles. Trust me I know the feeling as I live 12 miles south of Jackson Hole in Hoback Junction and it seems that once or twice a week you see more road kill. Jackson surprisingly enough has alot of tree huggers, anti-hunters and other such folks and during hunting season they have a fit about the dead animals being brought in by people, but in the off season seems the highway department has more important things to do than clean roadkill. I try to do my part, I bet I have moved ten deer, and two elk off the highway heading to my house. The winter season is torture in that same area.
Seriously a couple years ago my dads hunting buddy drew a moose tag in Alta, Wyoming which is up and over teton pass into Idaho and then back into wyoming and as he was coming through jackson on his way home he was pulled over by a highway patrol men and the guy asked him to go back to town and buy a tarp and cover the carcass while he was driving through teton county.
