Just wanting some info on a good pair of 200 gram hunting boots 10". What do you guys wear? Not a fan of Danner boots either. I average about 15-20 miles a week year round in some tough terrrian. Cannot find a boot that will hold up and is comfortable :>/ . Looking to spend between $250.00-$350.00. Just hoping to get some input. :thumb Thanks!!

For the last couple of years I have been wearing a pair of Rocky Silent stalker extremes which were the most comfortable boots I ever tried on. I have tried on comfortable boots before and then after wearing them in the field found out they were not too whippy. Anyway, these have been wonderful thay are the best boot I have ever owned and a lot cheaper than a heck of a lot I have owned. They have been very surprisingly durable because at first looks I would not of expected them to be. So, guess what? Rocky stopped making them.
They do now make a boot called the 8" stalker that is 200 grams thinsulate and looks real good. They weigh in at 3.4lbs which is a great weight. I also have looked at Cabela's Alaska Hunter by Meindl (sp) but they are about another pound heavier.
I put on a lot of miles and my key to keeping me going is to take care of my feet. Sore feet can spoil a hunt.
Good luck and let us know what you end up with.
