I've been completly obsessed with photographing ducks in flight this past week. I pulled these examples from our Duck web gallery to share with you.
I've learned a lot, it's been really difficult. For those of you interested in photographing birds in flight, here's a tip:
If you want to stop wings in motion, you'll need to shoot 2000/sec. +.
Drop me a line or post if you have more questions. Would love to help.

btw guys, thanks so much for the compliments! Keeps me inspired to take more and more pictures, then get them posted here just to hear from you all!
Hope you don't mind. Love this pic!
was the woody in Utah?
GREAT GREAT SHOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
Just noticed something else. Did you use a flash on these birds? Looks like a catch light in the eyes.
VERY GOOD PICS!
I have a hard enough time getting still pics.
I'd like more specifics on how the heck you got these shots, I know it's VERY difficult but I'd like to give it a try.
I'm shooting the Rebel XT 350 so it shouldn't be much different.
Your shooting in Manual mode?
I like to know more specifics as to what I need to do.
What lens are you using?
How close are you to the ducks?
Best to get them coming off the water I assume?
Or easier/better to get them coming in landing?
Not sure what else to ask? :) Help me out if possible, to maximie my chances of getting lucky. Not to many ducks down my way, so I won't get a lot of chances once I scare them off.
