Found a good place! (pics)

Found a new good place to find sheds! Had a good weekend. Probably found 100 deer and elk sheds.

We found this dead bull. We also found his sheds from the year before just up the mountain a little ways!

Sandrakae went on a hike and found this monster elk shed along with some smaller elk and deer sheds.

I misse out on this hunt but will be out there in a few weeks to finish the job. LOL This is the same area were my DC shed was found.

Any idea what killed the bull elk? Looks fairly fresh still, bummer.

I was not there but am pretty sure a cat, there is tons of them out there and the deer herd has taken a toll cause of that they are now starting on the elk. I could be wrong but from knowing the area that is my bet.

The elk didnt look like it was eaten. I think that he died during the rut fighting with another elk. The rut is right after they rub there velvet and this bull had a little bit of velvet left.

I am sure thats is what had happened. Just a thought since the cats are begining to outnumber the animals down there. More peoeple who live in the south who draws for cat tags need to go get them, I would if I was a cat hunter and lived down south.
