Got home this evening from work the wife was sitting on the couch,the vacum was laying on the floor and she looked kinda upset. I ask whats amada u, is the kirby on the blink? She said no but, your turkey fans looked dusty so I thuoght I'd clean em up a little. Does anybody know how to mabey smooth out turkeyfeathers? ](*,)

My wife is a taxidermist and she says once the feathers have been separated from each other theres not much you can do with them.

Oh man! That's too bad...hope you can at least repair them enough to make them displayable again.

Sounds like the wife had the best of intentions though...hope you weren't too hard on her.

After 27yrs shes still the best. She was more upset than I was. Told she had to go help me get another one next month.

You need to get a bit of light oil on your hands and work it back into the feathers,then flatten them out,the natural oils in the feathers hold them together.Try a tiny bit of mineral oil.

Great attitude sir. I had an ex that threw tanned snake skin over a lamp while she was cleaning and it burned the heck out of it and ruined it. She was in tears when I got home but that's how you learn. Sometimes just trying to help can cause problems but they mean well. Hope you can fix it up.
