G-5 Quest Primal Wins Cactus Open

I just got through shooting the Cactus Open. It's the first leg of the Western States 3-D Championship, the Triple Crown. I took first place in Hunter Class with my little G-5 Quest bow. Saturday was a fair day but today it poured rain and was foggy. I was miserable cold! So much for sunny Az.

Thanks guys. No video. The woman didn't want to go because it called for rain both days. There may be one still photo of me looking like a drowned rat in my cowboy hat one of the rangemasters took during the shoot. I'll try to get that. It should be priceless. :))

It also looks like the Elite brand bow of one of the top shooters that nearly beat me, except for the cable guide. All I know is that it shoots good in the rain. One of our group kept totally missing the targets after smoking them the day before but the water spray that came off his string was incredible. Made some shooters flinch. I think the G-5 string holds alot less water.

Thanks guys. I was beat after the first day (I ranked 4th) but the rain helped me win. One guy (he had an umbrella) who was beating me the day before just got discouraged and walked off the course. Others didn't do misery well but finished. I'm a good friend of bad circumstances and shot a 195. I shot a 196 the day before, 391 was enough.
