Gear advise

I'm going on a backpacking trip in March and need to buy a stove and sleeping pad to take out on the trail. What do you guys recommend? I had my eye on a MSR Whisperlite International liquid fuel stove and the Them-a-Rest Basecamp sleeping pad. Does anyone own these and if so are you happy with their performance?
