Guys
I am looking for some general info on late season mule deer in central eastern AZ. The unit I want to hunt is very diverse and rough. Im sure hunting pressure is high around the roads like most units. I trying to understand the deer a little better. I have found some good looking country but it is going to be hard to glass.
1) Is rut in Jan? Jan 1 or mid Jan
2) What is the primary food source that time of year?
3) How important is water in Jan with cold temps?

Also how does the cooler weather play on the feeding and bedding habits as far as slope orientation?
