general motors...

If you were to buy a new truck, does the fact that the government basically owns GM have any bearing on what brand of vehicle you would buy? Also now with Chrysler becoming Fiat, does that affect your decision??? I am just curious what everyone thinks of that whole mess...

I wouldn't buy anything from GM until they prove they can make a quality vehicle. It's basically a new unknown company. I'm going to buy a Ford next truck I need.

As much as i'd really like to have a new 4-door 2500HD Duramax, i'd have to go with a Ford. The Government cant manage social security or anything else they get their greedy little paws into so what makes GM any different. It's all just a big money hungry, king of the hill, my 4 years was better than your 4 years, power struggle. If Ford were in the boat too then I just dont know what I would do. I hate to support foreign companies, but i also hate to support power hungry bureaucrats as well. :>/

I personally will never buy another new GM. I drive a 4x4 Suburban and my wife drives an Impala. We will both be driving Fords when it comes time to trade. GM has lost me forever.

do not know if i will buy new again . may a replace the engine , tranny or what on the old 92 s-10 blazer at keep it going .

Its not about who's better... It is about supporting your country IMO... But whatever, to each his own... Oh and they shut down my local Dodge new car lot, so their went like 15 jobs in my community...

i'ed still buy a dodge. manly cause there better trucks then ford or chevy. thats just my deal. not that im not supporting my country i just like dodge better
