Good ways to cook pheasant / chuckar?

Just bagged both for the first time this weekend.... Would like to cook some up tonight and I'm looking for some recommendations on preparing them. Anyone have any favorite ways of fixin' them up that they are willing to share?

make a stew out of em.

We usualy will cook the meat a little first in a ductch oven, then put patatoes, onions, carrots in the ductch oven and pour in a can or two of cream of chicken soup. Just let that sucker go until the vegies are soft enough for you.

Pretty good eaten.

If the birds are young of the year. I cut up, dust with flour, then fry in hot oil.
As good as it gets. I eat a lot of Pheasant that way and will never tire of it.

By the way much of it is eaten when I'm camping while hunting. :thumb

If the birds are old, their best all day cooked in a crockpot. Add onion, celery, carrots, couple tablespoons chicken bouillon, salt and pepper. Yummm!

Done by the time your home from work, the house is smelling GOOD! dive in. 10sign:
