Has anyone used Google Earth to do "pre scouting" via the internet?
I use it and really like it, it helps learn the terrain and roads that aren't always on a topo, but i have a question-
Is there a better version than the free one so i can zoom in tighter, or another site that has a differen't satallite imagery available?

Ever heard of or used these?
I want to be able too find sheds on a nude beach, dangit!! :))
I want to see those sheds and naked girls too! I do know I can see my wife's car in the drive at my house using Google earth. It's pretty clear you can see the color pretty good. Unfortunately it seems when you get in the woods you definitely loose quality. I wonder if it's a size issue or if it's a satellite rights issue. Perhaps Google would have to pay more to get the rights to these unpopulated areas and since the majority doesn't care about these areas they don't bother to either purchase those rights or bundle it in their software.
Could you imagine the size of the application and or download if the whole world was in high quality images.
The Google Earth Pro version really isn't any better in quality, it just adds more GPS features.
I haven't gotten a chance to check out the two new imagery sites i posted yet, but the google earth should show you roads quite well, i just wish it could zoom in a little bit tighter. I LOVE the "tilt" or "3D" affect, it really shows the terrain for what it really is.
