Google Earth and Topos

This year Google Earth has been a big part of my preseason scouting. I have really enjyed it! Theres alot of litte features im sure I still have to figure out but so far its been great! One thing I thought was pretty cool was the Utah hunt boundary maps downloadable to Google Earth!

(heres the link: http://wildlife.utah.gov/mapsBETA/public/list_boundaries.php)

One thing im still trying to figure out is how to overlay topo maps on top of the satellite imagery. And is there any sites out there that offer free map downloads? If anyone could help me out that would be great! Also, what other mapping sources does everyone use for the hunting/non-hunting uses?

See Archer11 knows that all you have to do is Type "big muley deer in utah" on google maps and it shows you where they are. :thumb
Then all you got to do is walk up and put an arrow in one. I wish it would show me the best place to ambush them on the way to bedding areas. I sent Google the request but so far i think they are ignoring me!!!

Utah should be comming soon, google already sent me a pic of my deer in Colorado. They even have him marked so my GPS acts as a homing beacon. lol

ridgetop
I really like using Google Earth too but BEWARE. It is really hard to tell how high and thick the brush is most of the time. I have looked at what appeared to be an open ridge with patches of brush in between the trees. Only to find it to be 6 feet tall brush and very hard to get through. ](*,)
