Got my 4pt. on the muley hunt, just not the one i expected;)

so the friday night before the hunt started as we were all sittin around the cabin before bed i says how one a these days i hope to get out and find some elk sheds on the monroe. Sure enough, opening morning hikin around I lucked up on this sucker :) - not the big monroe elk i wanna get after but when i told my dad im splitten up with him to go check over this ridge and i walked into it i was screamin to my dad "ELK SHED!!! I FOUND AN ELK SHED!!!!!" like i'd just shot a big ole 30 inch buck... he was wide eyed and a little onry when i came runnin down to him holdin it high above my head.. haha, well anyways, im hooked now and im really gonna get after em this year!! honestly for me findin this shed was cooler than gettin my deer (dad scolds me for sayin that but i cant help myself, it was awesome!)

we saw a ton of elk down there this year though! there still on the rebound of course, and only saw 2 true trophy bulls, but a lot of growin bulls and lots of elk in general. had a blast!

oh hey - this pic wasnt taken where i found the shed, this is a completley different area but i just thought i should get a pic with the shed (we're standing right by the truck here) on this hike where the pic was taken we did see a lot of elk though, just no sheds.. enjoy :)
