Got my Elk tag this morning

I went to get my elk tag this morning. Im so excited to hunt this year with my bow for the first time ever! Its gonna be great! :thumb

I shoot a Mathews DXT, going to hunt the Central region with a buddy that has had success the last couple of years.

Yeah - My wife thought the rifle hunt was bad. Now my hunting opportunities last 4 months.

ah, in the mean time WE SCOUT! Im goin up tomorrow morning to check out the site. My buddy has some scaffolding from construction sites set up in a couple of places up where we're going (lol) we were thinking of getting some camo colored burlap and dressing the scaffold with it! :thumb.... Ill post pics of anything we see up there too.

I would say before long you will be: Depressed, obsessed, frustrated, stumped, thrilled, amazed, exhausted, mentally worn down, and on occasion sucessfull. Maybe its the challenge that makes so many of us masochists enjoy the pain that is elk hunting with a bow.
