Guess the score-2 (79Fords impressive buck)

All, I'm throwin' this one in for 79Ford. He would like us to guess what his buck would score (He posted it in another thread. I am just creating it's own thread so everyone will see it).

Here are the few stats he gave us to start the guessin': "So, since all you guys are so good at scoring bucks, what would you score mine at? I have never measured one before and by looking at other scores I think I messed up. Upon final measurement he has an outside spread of 29 3/8", and 4 5/8" bases. Let me know what you think."

79Ford: After we all get a shot at it you'll have to throw out the score you came up with to see how we/you did.

That is sure a nice deer. The width sure helps and nice even rack.

I say right at about 190 gross. and maybe 10" deduction and shinkage.

Man these are tough, becaus this buck is the exact opposite of the previous one we just scored and I'll bet the scores are not that much different.

Although the width makes this buck look bigger.

I'm going with a 186" gross, and 180" net

I'm guessing he grosses about 180 maybe 185. I also agree he's got about 10 points of deductions.

Great buck...he goes 190 gross with better g2's, but definately a shooter in my book.

First of all, nice buck! But I can't believe no guesses on it beeing a 170 class deer. ??? So I'll go out on a limb here. 174-178 gross and 168-170 net. He is very short on the G2's and has the extra brow tine.

I really want to say 190ish, but he looks a lot like the 170 buck my mom shot, so I will go with 175 and some change gross.

definatly a different deer than the last one notice a trend i hope people are not going to use us for their score rather than getting them scored! that said. i 'd say 180 and 1/8 gross and all the deductions are on the back fork at 4-5 inches maybey 6 so net 175 5/8 .... check please!! :)) :)) might as well send him the official score sheet!! once again i'm just kidding!!!!!! would like to see a score sheet on him! great buck congrats!! score only means so much!!" 79Ford, what do a have? I'm curious as to who tailed this one....like I said, we have scores from the 150's to the 190's on this great buck!

So with the scores posted on here I am quite excited, yet I also feel very incompetent. The net score I came up with was 158 and some change. You can bet I am going to have him measured again by someone who knows how to read a tape, and I'll post the results as soon as I get them.

79Ford, Sure seems a bit low, don't it? If not then jsut about all of us were "shootin' high" on this one.

In my opinion, if BOHNTR says it's around 170-172 net then I would certainly anticipate that the final score is around that area somewhere. He's pretty much our "resident expert" at least as far as I am concerned (NO offense Killerbee.....LOL).

Okay, so does better late than never still apply to this old thread? I finally got someone to put a tape on him and the official net sore is 176 7/8. So as far as specific guesses go I do believe Killerbee had the closest guess with 175 5/8. However there were a few guesses that were in that range. Great scoring ability guys and sorry it took me so long to get a tape on him.

Definitely a shooter in my book. And no offense intended, but those who guessed 190 +, have you ever seen a 190 + deer? They are huge!!!!!

He looks bigger than a 158. I think he left off some measurements. I'm going to say what bohntr said and go with 170-172.
