Hard time waiting

First off congrats to everyone thats drawn and and wish you a good hunt. I put in for elk in NM as I have for the last ten years. Won,t know until the middle of June if I go or not and it's driving me nuts not knowing if I hunt with a bow on Sept, a rifle in oct, or a smoke poll in dec. Can't tell like the previuos years from the credit card hit becuase they took all of the 220,000 applicant's money up front and won,t be given back until the end of Aug. I mean its tough, do I buy some new braod heads and a dozen arrows, a knew scope for my 30 ought, or a new set of snow shoes and balloons for the smoke poll hunt. I gotta carry three different weapons to the range every week. Don't know what to put in my pack whitch has been put together at least three times by the first week of June. And my wife is bugging the crap out of me cause she can't plan her cruise until I give her a date. How can they do this to a guy?
