Harvest Report Call - Anyone get one?

I just got a call from DNR (actually from Fallon, NV), about my Utah deer hunt. I'm a dedicated hunter
and they asked me several questions about my hunt. Just curious if anyone else got the call, I've never had
a call before...was glad they called though.

They asked if I...

1. hunted archery, which unit, how many days, harvest or wound any animals?
2. hunted muzzleloader, which unit, how many days, harvest or wound any animals?
3. hunted rifle, which unit, how many days, harvest animal?
4. Reason for no harvest, couldn't find any or to small etc. (I said found a some small ones, that's it).

Verified all my contact info etc., and then asked on a scale of 1-5 the overall quality/experience of my hunt.

I answer 2 out of 5.

I have had a couple of calls like that over the years. Some years get a better report than others. I don't know if I would have rated the hunting over the last couple of years even at a 2. :>/

I got an email, then a phone call and then another email from CO. Ended up answering the third email as I had a bit of a time finding my CID number. Seems I get picked every year for the survey.

My dad also got a call.

I get called every year now that I am in the dedicated hunter program. I should have tagged out twice this year I had the worst year with equipment that I have ever had.

Didn't get a call this year... did last year & the year before. While chatting with the gal two years ago she thanked me for being so nice. She told me that about half of the time she calls for these surveys she gets lit up pretty good. Seems to me that we should be not only willing, but eager, to provide honest responses since this is one of the tools used to determine our hunting future.

I've been called a few times as well as my brother, and my dad. But I haven't been called in awhile, now that I think about it.

Yessir... I got a call.

Weird thing is that it was a Northern Nevada number (775) area code.

Yeah, got a call this year and last year. I would rate my hunt at 4, would of given it a 5 but was sooooo cold and the heater we had sucked lol Nope, didn't tag out myself, but worked my arse off to get my buddy (new recruit into hunting!) a buck. He had an absolute ball as well.

The DWR contracts out the surveys, so I guess that isn't much of a surprise. At least they speak English! =D>

I got a call. I was suprised how exact of a location they wanted for my location of kill. Not that where I hunted is any kind of a secret, but I could see getting annoyed if I had a good honey hole. He wanted the mountain, then the drainage, then the location within that drainage. Is this normal? ---------SS

Yes. They always ask where but I think alot of times in the end they have no idea where I'm telling them anyway.
