Have they caught the fella that was roaming through Zion?

Just curious... Have they caught that guy yet?

I remember the story. Authorities were looking for him but I never saw any follow up.

What's the story? Brett, I'll be down there in three weeks, if you want to take the camera out and meet me at one of my honey holes. We should get some good footage of some nice bucks and bulls.

It's that escaped convict guy from AZ that fled to te Zion wilderness. Every winter he breaks into the cabins and steals stuff after the owners close them up for the season. They caught him meandering through Swains Creek on a trail cam.

Supposedly they found one if his caches dug into a hill a ways back and there was food, generators, fuel, guns, etc... All stolen property. They were using helicopters for a while, but apparently this guy knows his way around the mountain because thy can't find him.

There hasn't been much seen of the guy for awhile I guess. A guy I know stumbled on his camp hunting elk once. A lot of people I know have had their stuff stolen and such. Kind of creepy I do alot of hunting in those parts.

 I agree. It is a little spooky knowing this clown is roaming around out there.

I have always been more concerned about weirdos in the woods than bears and cats.

At least bears and cats have a fear of humans. I would hate to come across this guy when he is having a bad day.

 No, it was East of Salt Lake on the Wasatch Front but I'm sure there are a few growers on the Zion unit.

A couple of months ago a buddy of mine went for a run in the Bookcliffs. When he got back he reported that he came around a corner and saw a guy on the tree line. When the guy saw him he took off. There was no vehicle around and no recent tire tracks. Another crazy hermit maybe?

Speaking of pot busts...............There 's one going on right now by Pinto down south. Three arrested yesterday on their way to Calif.
