Hello!

I just wanted to introduce my self. I am from Arizona but am currently stationed in Italy in the US Army. I have been reading posts on the forum for a while now and finally decided to sign up. I really miss the states around this time of year. I would give anything to pick up my bow and hit the woods. I cant complain to much though, I am not deployed right now. Anyways just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the stories and pictures. Mule Deer are my passion, I have hunted all over the country and hopefully next fall I can add a few other countries to the list. But nothing compares to spot and stalk Mule Deer hunting.

I just thought you guys and gals might like this. I took this picture of the Red Deer about a month ago in the Dolimite mountains in Norther Italy. They are alot like the Elk just smaller. Istead of bugeling they have a low roar.

Yea, I can relate. I am getting ready to deploy right now (Leave here in Dec) and will miss the states....just as I always do!

Thanks for all the support. For you guys that are down range or getting ready to deploy down range be carefull. If you need anything just send me a message. I have a APO address here si I can send things out to you for free.

To hunt the red deer in Italy there is a lot of red tape to go through. Maybe next year.


This question may go in another forum but real quick. I see alot of guys using salt blocks to help keep animals around a little longer. Is it leagal to bate year round in Arizona and what can be used. This goes for all states also what are the laws for you guys in the other states.
