HELP

I am new to elk hunting this year and dont really know much. I have a any bull tag and am located in utah county. Can anybody give me some advice on where to go to hopefully have a better chance at tagging an elk. Im not looking to get a trophy just would like to fill my tag. Thanks in advance

Well it's going to be hard to find good land to hunt so my best suggestion is get yourself a good map. I have a map for my GPS from www.huntinggpsmaps.com for three states and they are awesome! A map like those are your best way to find public and state lands to start your hunting adventures. Good luck

Do you have the elk map from the big game guide book? I don't know about too many areas, but there's a fair amount of public lands in the Nine Mile/Range Creek North section. As long as you stay out of the Roan Cliffs CWMU, which the DNR has a freely downloadable Google Earth map of. I saw several bulls up there last weekend, but they were out of range for me to be able to get them out if I shot them.

This is my 3rd year elk hunting. Great thhing about this year i have had time to scout. Ant how always looking for new hunting buddies. I am hunting up by trail lake north east of kamas.
