Help for Southern region Utah bow hunt

This morning l was able to purchase a over the counter Utah archery tag... =D>
Being that l have never hunted this area, l am going to need all new maps, hints, tips, & tricks everyone is willing to afford me!

l spent two years at Dixie and two years at SUU, so l know those areas well. l have considered the Utah/ Nevada border, but again l am flying blind. l am planning on putting in my work scouting, since it is only a couple hours drive.

If anyone has any ideas, maps, hints l would truly appreciate it. l understand no one wants to give away the location of their "honey hole," but just a little nudge in the right direction would be greaatly appreciated. :thumb

AS always, thanks in advance

Phillyb I would look at the post called Best Maps. There are some great tips and links on there to make your own maps of areas you are looking at. I think that would really help you out a bunch.

Dixie and then SUU, heck that's what I did. :)

Cedar Mountain is good, around Panguitch Lake. Pine Vally Mtn. is good. Out near Utah/Nevada border can be good (not as many deer) out that direction. Enterprise has a great Mule Deer herd and is good also. Likely be lots of people out there with ya.

What years did you graduate Dixie and SUU?

Anyone have any thoughts about the area west of the I-15 behind New Harmony and such? l remember camping out there once and seeing deer.

Dixie 1996 but was there until 98 and SUU 2001

The area you mentioned is and can be good also. Right by New Harmony can be tough, mostly private property. But just South and West has deer yes. Bumble Bee area.
