Help from ND muley hunters

I'm trying to plan a trip to the badlands in ND to bowhunt muleys this fall. I've found all the information I can about their "primary range" but was hoping someone could help with specific countie(s) I should look at. I want to order maps soon. THANKS

Tking, Welcome, And Good Luck with your hunt.

These are the Counties I would get maps for. The BLM maps would be my first choice, also get the ND Badlands and Little Missouri National Grasslands Maps. McKenzie, Billings, Slope, Bowman and Golden Valley Counties are in the best Muley country and the most public land. Let me know if you would like more info.

thanks for the welcome waynedevore. Those are the counties we were looking at, is one any better than another. I've been thinking about concentrating on south west billings county. I'd like to go ahead and get a real topo map from mytopo.com. I can get it with the features I've used before (in the USMC).

South West Billings County is a good choice. And the topo maps are nice to. But, even in the grasslands there is private property, so get the surface management maps then go from there. The USGS has very good TOPO maps to, trust me get the BLM Maps.
