Is this a small deer for Nevada or about the norm?

Sure that's a decent mule deer. As for the norm in Nevada, hum not sure?

I guess if I had to I would shoot it. :) Actualy I would be proud to get a deer of that size any time unless I get my limited entry deer tag. Then I hope to get the last trophy deer of my life. After that it would just be for the fun of hunting and the meat.

Based on animals I've measured from that state along with photos of hunts I've seen, I would say it is a little better than average buck shot in Nevada. Average is probably a 24" 4x4 that would score 145-155". This buck looks around 26" wide buck that would gross about 170". Pretty mount.

BOHNTR, That buck is a little smaller than your guess. Under the pic he states this buck only scored 132.
I would have to say below norm. Depending on the unit or area. Most units you could probably find around a 150-160 buck.

Yeah, I noticed the score....thought it might have been a typo. #-o Looks much better than 132". Photos are definatley hard to accurately judge antlered species......However, I still feel the average buck taken in Nevada is probably in the 145-155" range.

BOHNTR I see what yout saying going buy the ears they average 27" apart but I put these ears back some so its throwing it off. incase you guys were wondering this was a white pine county deer it only has a 21 5/8 spread like I said the ears are mounted in the simie back pose so it makes the spread look wider.
