High Country Muley

Hi, I have already killed this year, but next year I would like to take my dad and my little bro on a public land high country mule deer hunt I want to find a good buck and I'm willing to hike a long ways to get one but I need public land unless private land is available. Preferably in the Central Unit. I will go anywhere else if there is a area cause of the archery rule but Central or North Areas. Thanks for the Help

If you are looking for public land in the Central Unit I'm sure there is tons of it. I have hunted up Hobble Creek Canyon out of Springville and had good success. If you are willing to hike there will always be opportunities on the tops of the mountains where most people aren't willing to go. Just go up Hobble Creek Canyon and the road eventually becomes dirt and you can go way up there. Good country, but you'll have to work to find them. Four years ago my friend killed a 28" 4x4 up there.

If you can, get up there and do some scouting.
