High Country Muley! Best Buck Yet!

Just got back from what we thought was an Elk hunt and ended up with a nice High Country Muley! We were up around 9500 ft looking at elk when a perfect 4X4 stepped out we could not pass on. First and only buck we had seen thus far. One shot kill at 225 yards put the big boy down. What do you think he scores? He weighted around 300 lbs I swear! Huge body and about 6 1/2 years old.

Nice job! He's a great mature buck, and I would venture to say you had a great time hunting him. Don't worry about the inches and just enjoy the adventure! :thumb

nice buck and good shooting! my guess is 4 years old and about 160 score I'd give him more but the front and back tines are a little short and he is missing a little bit for the eye guards but he is a beast no matter the score

We had a blast! We can't wait to get him mounted to see how he looks on the wall!!! The taxi estimated him at 6 1/2 years old by his teeth, which for a Mountain Buck is fairly old. We got him in Idaho, DIY OTC hunt. We talked to a few people up there hunting deer that had only seen small two point/spike bucks, but heck, they were all down in the valley looking and not up on the mountains. Guess thats where the big one's go is up high. At least this guy was.
Thanks for the Camo comment. lol. I'm just not one to put my face on the internet. Never know who could get ahold of it. Safety first.. :thumb
