Horrible way to go!

I took the boys down the Snake River yesterday to do a little fishing...and some passive scouting at the same time...when I spotted a distinct "white rup" at the base of a draw.

The following pics are what I found. Lookin' at the fairly fresh blood it must have happened during the night. What a sad and painful way to go!

That sucks! I've seen it a couple times, unfortunately it happens and is fairly common. Real bummer. :>/

Yeah we found a doe that was still alive and we cut her loose but she just laid there so we left her alone so she would get up and leave.

Yep, this kind of thing really sucks, i've seen it before too.
I saw one just like it one day but the deer was still alive and coyotes had been eating his back side while he was hanging there fighting for his life, it was the most horrible sight in the wild i think i've ever witnessed.
Needless to say, we put it out of it's misery...it has suffered long enough and i'm glad we walked upon it when we did.
Too bad we scared to song dogs off so soon, i'd have taken one of those out as well!! :222

Wow, I hate seein that. Had to put a doe out one time after she broke her back jumpin over a fence. She was just layin there about 25 yards from it and couldn't even get her rear end off the ground. Too bad stuff like that's gotta happen.
