The deer is a Whitetail, and would score in the P&Y record books as a Non Typical about 200 guessing.

The buck is most definately a mule deer. As for score, it's hard to score non-typicals by photos, but I guess he'll probably net in the mid to upper 220's and gross in the 230's. An AWESOME non-typical for sure. Great mass.

I have heard of people ropeing deer to tie them to a tree before the hunt but I think you tied the wrong one to the tree. #-o
That is a big buck, but what is the small one in the tree?

Definetly a mule deer!!

Do not know about scores...not very good at judging them by scores......definetly a shooter though.

Nice Mulie! Near as I can tell, he'd hit over the 200 mark as a non-typical.

Ok I have to ask.... in the last pic is there a deer head zip tied to the trees in the middle. It looks like a fork horn but I really cant tell... anyone?? If this is a colorado deer I think he maybe dead already. I saw a photo of a roadkill VERY similiar to him a week ago.

The "head" zip-tied to the tree is just a rack from the previous year.
