hunt area 51 in Nevada

Hey, I am new to Nevada and just drew a deet tag for area 51 near Winnemucca Nevada, i've never hunted here before and was looking for some advice.

I assume you mean your area is 15, and your hunt number is 051? Unless your hunting aliens with horns. (???)

lol. Nah there is two area 51's one by Las Vegas, the one with the aliens, and another, hunt area 51 in northern Nevada that one is about as far oppisite from the one in Vegas. Its near Winnemucca.

Congradulations on your hunt and I have to tell you right now you have your work cut out for you. I have lived in Winnemucca for 14 years now and have hunted this area a bunch. I would suggest if you have an early rifle tag to take a few days off before season opens and try and find a buck to kill opening morning as there are a ton of tags given out. The second weekend of your hunt chukar season opens so there will be that many more people out in the hills. As far as where to hunt...... I would try and hunt in the Santa Rosa mountains north of Winnemucca. If you are willing to put the boot leather down you should be able to kill a decent buck. Send me a message and I can give you a little more details as far as what canyons I have seen good bucks in.
