hunted wasatch extended

well i went up to try my luck on the extended for the very first time. after some googling some aREAS and some patience of try to find a place to park i finally got to business. hunted it for 3 days. i seen 9 bucks with only one being a small little forky. the rest were decent bucks and one pretty good buck(26 iinch 170+ type buck) the terrain i chose was pretty tough for a stick and string and was only able to get within 100 yards of two of those bucks.there are just far too many eyes and ears when the buckss are hanging with the girls. had one close call ,but 3 fawns and there game of tag ended it quickly when they almost ran me over, i only needed to go about 10 yards to be in my comfort shooting range. i had a blast hunting during the rut ,i was able to sit and watch several bucks chasing doe's that i could not get to before dark .
being from southern utah i envy you guys that get to hunt that every year. i learned the canyon i was hunting pretty well in those 3 days and hope next year i can capitalize on it if i do not fill my tag down south. i did not see very many other hunters and never felt crowded out, so i think i found a decent spot.
good luck to you guys still hunting it

Did you pack in, or did you make the hike each morning for the three days?

Sounds like you still have fun Ox. Too bad you couldn't let the air out of one but it wasn't a total loss.

when did you go, before this storm or during?

i almost went out yesterday before the blizzard hit, i started driving out at 5am and the wind was rocking my truck so bad i decided to wait for better weather ](*,)
