Hunting Packs? and a washington muley

Hi everyone, I'm new to the site, Ive been hunting mule deer in washington for the past few years using a gregory hiking internal frame pack (not made for hunting) and ive been looking at Dwight Schuh mega and regular size Hunting Packs on the cabelas website (and was just wondering if anyone else has ever used one. I have seen no negative reviews but some did mention that they sit very high and it is hard to carry a rifle with the pack. I will be using the pack to travel around 10-20 miles into wilderness for around 5-10 days. I'm on a budget of no more than $200 and any information on hunting packs would be great. thanks.

I would check out the badlands and eberlestock series packs. I personally own the eberlestock j104. I use it on 3-5 day backpack hunts and it's worked great so far, but I heard nothing but good things about badlands also. Welcome to MM....Nice buck!! :)

i personally think the Dwight schuh packs are the most under rated packs there is! i've never used the eberlestock packs, but i do own a badlands pack and have used a blacks creek pack and they are great! but i think the dwight schuh packs are awsome packs! these other packs are very good also, but i dont think they are 1% better then the dwight schuh pack. in the end i think it's about how a pack is organized. everyone wants something just a bit different. and all these packs are great, but just organized differently. so pick the one that is set up the way you want it to be.
