Well, Luke my hunting partner had backpacked into an area of Eastern Washington on Wednesday evening to stay for the rest of the season which would last until Sunday evening. He let me know where he was going and said he would call me for help when he had a buck down.
lol
Sure enough I get a call from him on Friday morning and he say's that he has a nice buck down and could use some help. I asked if he had put his hands on the buck yet and he said no but he had put his spotting scope on him after he shot and the buck is down for the count. He said he would lose phone reception as soon as he started into the canyon after the downed buck so he wanted to let me know. I told him do his thing and I will line up the horses.
I called and got my brother headed that way with some horses and since I had to work I just had to wait for the pictures.
Luke packed the head and cape out to the horse trailer then he and my brother rode back in to get the meat.
Here are a couple of pictures of him and his buck.

Wow what a toad. Congrats on a great looking buck. I love how heavy he is. Was this area specialty unit or a general hunt unit. (sorry I don't know anything about hunting in washington)

A Monster. Great job. Especially in Washington where people claim there are no real big mulies.

Great buck, congratulations to your hunting partner. For all of those people who say that there aren't any big muleys in Washington, I think that the pics we have posted in the past couple of days have put an end to that rumor. If people don't want to come to Washington to hunt, or leave to go to Utah, Colorado, Arizona, or Wyoming that is fine with me, more bucks for the faithful! The work does pay off! 10sign:
