Hypothetical College Football Question....

So here's a hypothetical situation:

Team A is playing Team B at Team B's home stadium. Team B is ranked #17, yet Team A is a 2 point favorite. HYPOTHETICALLY, wouldn't that mean that Team A should be ranked higher than #17? This ranking crap drives me nuts!...don't think I'll ever understand it. Sorry, just had to rant a little. Wreck 'em Tech!

so let me get this strait.

lets just say Oregon was say playing #6 cal.

and just for hypothetical reasons, lets say they had just spanked # 19 unbeaton , in like forever, UTAH the week before.

now IF Oregon SPANKED cal,

wouldn't they start climbing the ranking BIG TIME again???

lol :)) lol

Oregon ought to get a little respect after that win. As for my Red Raiders, well I'll just say that was probably the most frustrating game I've ever watched!!! ](*,) ](*,)

I'll hand it to the cougs, they definitely outplayed tech. Tech has a long way to go if they want any media love this year or expect to compete with the rest of the big 12.

Here's a better one:

Say the #1 ranked team and the #3 ranked team are in the same conference. If both remain undefeated and #2 ends up with a loss they'll be ranked #1 and #2 now. And let's say they are in a conference that has a championship and being they both won their respective division will meet in the said championship.

Saying it is a close game and #1 just ekes out a win, shouldn't they then play for the National championship?

It could very well happen this year.

Of course, playoffs would solve most of these problems.

Man, it's too early in the year for me to be getting worked up about this stuff.....guess that's part of the reason I love college football though....that, and the fact that the players are playing b/c they want to and not for the money!
