I'm out of here on Friday

Well guys and gals, I leave Ft Jackson on Friday to begin my deployment. I'll be in Kuwait for about 10 days or so before heading in-country. I'm actually pretty excited to get this show on the road...just packing all the dang gear I have to take over there.

I'll tell ya, this deployment is MUCH more involved than my last in '04! They really have stacked on the requirements, gear issues, etc (I'm sure that ABert can back me up on this one).

Anyway, just as I promised before I headed to FT Jackson, I'll keep everyone posted when I can.

I hear ya on that gear. Good news is you'll have two seabags worth of gear that you'll never use and can just put off to the side. Kuwait isn't too bad but not real fun either. Keep us posted and let me know if you need anything. You should have pretty good internet access where you're headed so getting online shouldn't be too much of a problem.

ohhhhhhhh i wanna shoot the big gun :) looks like ya have tons of gear on to. Im purty sure i would tip over if i had to wear all that stuff.
