OH MAN!!! Hawk, my father-in-law lives in Lewiston. He runs Blue Cross of Idaho for that region. He hunts birds everyday during the bird season in that unit. He knows some serious honey holes for mule deer. He keeps tyring to get me to put in for that unit, but I always put in in unit 40. What are the dates of your hunt. Are you stateside yet?

Have you hunted in that unit before? I am very excited for you!

Last year I was up there chuckar hunting with him and we came upon a mule deer skull/rack and skeleton that was way over 30 inches, but we couldn't really tell just how big it was because the antlers had all been chewed down to the forks by something (porqupine probably). We guessed that the deer probably got wounded and lost then eaten by a bear, because we have seen many bears in that area.
