Idaho elk units

Anyone hunted units #4, #8A, #15........ have some buddies that say there pretty good, any imput from anyone
And is the general elk pretty good, or should we put in for a draw.... and hope to a better unit?

never hunted those units, but idaho has some great general elk hunts to check out for sure. i have seen that there a few units that have already sold out their quota so dont mess around to long or you could miss out :thumb

Northern Idaho has some great elk hunting. I'd also check out the general and controlled hunt oppurtunities in central and south central Idaho as well though. It's not nearly as thick of country as it is up there in the units you mentioned and the quality of huntingis just as good if not better.
