I am going since I didn't draw anything and wanted to see if any of you have hunted this unit. I know this is a general question, so any feedback would be great.

We used to bow hunt there every year in the early to mid 90's but I haven't hunted there for 10 years. I can give you some general info...but it might not be any good, since it's been so long since I hunted there. Shoot me a PM if you would like some info on the country, access, and ect.

I hunted it last year for one day up near the ski resort. Pretty country, but I never saw any I was interested in. I have heard some good bucks come off there every year and I don't doubt it at all. If archery elk is over the counter it might be worth it. We saw a few decent bulls but didn't have the tag. We saw them closer to Utah/Nevada border. We hunt the nearby unit 55 every year on the late archery Nov 25-dec 19th. It is a pretty fun hunt after eveything is done. Lots of deer in 55. Good luck.

Did you see anything that would make P&Y?

no but I only hunted that one day. My wife is from Burley and we were visiting her family so I decided to try it. In 55 I have seen numerous P&Y class bucks up to the 180 range but it is a tough hunt in the late season with 6-12" of snow most of the time.

I'm not allowed in 55 in September... I can hunt 57 though and thought about that. A 160-180 would be nice though!
