Nonya... Your dad does some definately beautiful work. If he ever wants to help a young sculptor out. I know one that needs some good foundry advice.

Those are very nice indeed. I assume you make a limited number of each sculpture and don't just sell the originals? Do you have a website with your work?

Meathunter, what do you need to know,we used to own and run a foundry here and we have worked with foundrys in several states, the foundry end of the buisness is the most exspensive part,on average a 1000$ piece of bronze work is 6-700$ of foundry work. There are some artists that cast thier work in a cheap aluminum alloy and try to make it look like bronze because it costs about half as much to cast. Our wholesale prices are usually the casting cost + 1/3,the retailer then adds another 1/3.If anyone is interested in these pieces you can see them here http://www.freewebs.com/montanaartworks/ there is a link there to thier official website but my parents never update it with the new work so I made the freewebs site to show his newest work. The prices listed there are all retail, the prices they sell for in a gallery,if they buy them directly from us they can save money. Most of his pieces are in an addition of 36,his reliefs are in an additon of 250.I think there are two of the indian left and this is the first of the elk to be cast so 35 left of this new piece. We are getting ready to cast one of the 6 foot long packstrings with hunters coming out of a wilderness hunt, you will love this piece.
