Inexpensive Guide

I've never been hunting before and I've been getting ready for this year's hunt for the last year. I drew a northern utah rifle deer tag and as the hunt is approaching I am starting to wish I could have someone with a little more experience along, but I don't know anyone that fits the bill without previous commitments. So I started to consider hiring a guide. The catch is I didn't want to spend alot of money. I'm not really looking for a trophy hunt. I already have my tag, gear, etc. I was wondering how much it would cost to hire an experienced hunter to come and teach me the ropes for 3 or 4 days.

As far as what type of buck I want. This being my first year I'm looking more to gain experience than what type of buck I get. I would love a huge buck but for my first hunt I think that's probably unrealistic. If I end up going alone I will probably shoot the first 2 point I see just so I can get some practice cleaning one and maybe get something in my freezer. I'm really more concerned about figureing out the basics this year.
Sweet looking buck! :thumb
I just want one buck like that before I die.
