Hunting Time

Hi I'm new to this site but not to good hunting chat.
Hey, have you heard the good news about the hunt raffles.
I heard the other day from a friend of mine who is going to start
something big, I think, and believe it or not it's for the blue-collar
hunter, like me. He said it will be a website where they raffle off
hunts that he has access to in Utah. He says the ticket cost will
stay down and have limits on the amount of tickets purchased so
odds stay good for everyone in the raffle. He also said he had
2 C.M.W.U. fully guided hunts for mule deer that he might start
with. That is nice for resident and non-resident hunters alike.
I don't know about you but I think it is a good idea as long as
odds are good and hunts to match. Hope it works out for him
and me as a hunter who likes to hunt good areas.

Sounds like a great idead to me, is he planning on funding it all through the raffle tickets? Keep us posted on the details when you learn and find out more.
will be funded by ticket sales only, but next year you will
have to become a member of " The Utah Hunting Connection".
He said membership fees would be low cost like in the $30
per year/per member range. Cost for his hunts would not
be a problem as he is a C.W.M.U. and private land owner.
He also said other areas are available to him thru other
land managers that he knows. basiclly his idea is if a hunt
costs him $5000 he will sell 250 raffle tickets at $20 . Once
the 250 raffle quota has been reached, the raffle will be
closed.
p.s. the nice part is limits will be set on the amount of tickets
purchased per person in order to keep cost down and draws
fair. if you would like to become involved all help is
appreciated. this is truely done for the blue collar hunter.
All suggestions and ideas are appreciated. thanks
