It's picking up...

Other than lucking into a couple older sheds while rabbit hunting this winter, I really started looking last weekend. It started pretty slow with just a couple whites last week and a few more whites on Friday night, but Saturday turned into a really fun day with my new shed hunting friend and my son. The weather was beautiful and there were tracks and deer all over the area we hit. I found my first brown shed within 15 minutes. It was a small-medium 4 point. From there my friend found the next 3 and then I got hot, finding a fresh 4X4 set laying within feet of each other. At first I didn't see the match laying on it's side to my left but I try to look around the immediate area whenever I find one because sometimes the other side is close by. About 100 feet away I found a fresh 3 point and a broken white 2 point. A while later I found a couple of fresh 2 points and then a bigger white 4 point. All together 8 on the day with 6 browns. My son found a 3 point and my friend ended up with 4, including a really nice brown 4 point. I just love days like that.
This photo shows both sheds.

Here are a few more from my 12 mile hike today. I ended up with 3 whites and 4 browns, including a side-by-side 3 point set. On the drive home I saw 3 bucks still carrying both sides. One was a beautiful 5 point but it is doubtful I will ever find that one as he is on private property.
