Thats a great buck. I got my first good mature buck at age thirty seven. Brace yourself for some smaller deer in the future, but what a way to start your hunting career!

I live just West of where this was harvested, and I've seen just 3 bucks even close to this one - congrats (duo). I've hunted Muley's here for 6 years, and we all wish for one this big. I just love hunting this area regarless of the size. Good luck to (hopefully) many more season's.

I hunt on the utah nevada border is interesting to see the same genetics as far as the front beam coming in like a white tail deer I have seen many bucks like that in the area that I hunt.

Great story.....
I have a 2 and 4 year old ( both boys) and I can only imagine the wonderful feeling it must have been to see your son drop that monster! It is always good to hear about a dad who hugs his son..... especially after a hunt like that! Congrats!
