Kiabab AZ.

Never hunted it myself, was just there a couple of weeks ago though. Pretty country! Hunting with a bow right? Very popular spot, lots of people hunt it every year.

Kaibab?.......Yup, bowhunted it for 23 years straight. Didn't go last year, as the herd is way down from years past and I wanted an area with higher numbers. I ended up going to Colorado last year.

I've arrowed quite a few good bucks in the Bab' over the years, but until they re-think their management system up there I see no relief in sight for the herd. It's beautiful country with an ample road system that everyone and their brothers seem to road hunt. Too many folks and not a lot of bucks, IMO. But hey, you could be one of the lucky ones and arrow a good one.

Has any body ever hunted on the Utah side? My brother and I have talked about it but have never been down there yet.

Gotta get away from the roads to see the big ones,and there are plenty of them left.Problem is pressure wont allow you to find them i the same areas every year.Scouting is huge for the bab unless your willing to chance it!

" SB1441: Arizona Game and Fish will be receiving $3.5 million dollars earmarked for habitat projects that include Kiabab winter range improvements, water projects north of the Grand Canyon, habitat improvements under the rim country and on the east side of the state and more."
