Andrew and his father walked into the field around 5 and by 6 the deer where everywhere. After not taking a shot 100 yards away because some houses where in the back they waited until the doe had moved off a little and readjusting there line of sight took a shot at 200 yards. the doe was hit and hit good, she went to a creek bottom and laid down they thought she was done for so moved in. the doe jumped and ran to a fence but didn't want to cross so laid down again. That’s where they met her and finished the job.
GREAT JOB Andrew... congratulations on you first animal :thumb

Much congrats to the young man. That smile right there is what it's all about. It just doesn't get any better than that. 10sign:

Well day 2 was pretty good I gave a tag to a boy that has the buck bull combo also so he could take a buck or doe. They got to the field and spotted a couple of 2 points along with the typical 100 doe's. After setting up on the 2 point they squeeze the trigger. Boom, the buck doesn't move. Boom again nothing, one more time and nothing. The deer just walk off. Dave the dad takes the gun and shoots at the canal bank 100 yards away and misses completely. They determined the scope is off and will be bringing another gun tonight. Good luck!

Cool stuff! Our youth hunt here in Oklahoma starts this month. It used to be for doe only but here recently, they allowed the kids to shoot a buck if they wanted to. That's the future of our sport and I think it's great!
