Knives of Alaska Alpha Wolf

I bought a new knife to take with me this past hunt. It's a Knives of Alaska Alpha Wolf. It feels real good in my hand. It did wonderfully well on the hide and meat but when I worked it against the bones to get the backstraps it needed lots of touchup. Same with the ribs. It touched up easily though which is a blessing. I think I'll try a different angle on the cutting edge and test it out again. As you can see my thumb was no match for it. lol

hahahaha, I saw one of these in action just a couple of weeks ago when we were dressing my buddy's Muley. While he was gutting it, I asked if he had a hatchet or small saw cause my Wyoming Saw was in my backpack about 100 yards up the mountain. His dad pulled his knife out and started to saw through the pelvic bone with his Knives of Alaska Knife. The funny part was his dad just jumping on that deer saying "We don't need no saw... This is a Knife of Alaska." as he was cutting through the bone. I later looked at the blade, still sharp and kinda amazed because it wasn't serrated... Needless to say it was a sharp one!

It only took one swipe on each side to get it to shave again. I'm liking it. This one is D-2 steel. They have some more expensive ones made of other materials.
