LE elk

Anyone here have a LE tag or know someone that does, sure would like to see some pics of Utah monsters this year!

A guy that I work with has a prememium elk tag for the wasatch unit. He has been watching a couple of nice that will push the 400 mark. I hope that he can get on one of the monsters. The one problem that he is having is that this unit is open to general season deer and elk so there are people crawling all over this area.

I had never thought of that of being something to worry about but ow it will be one more thing to think about when putting in for the draws.

bow nut, that is why I will not apply for a LE archery permit on units that have spike hunters. If your co-worker has a premium tag, he should be fine. Hope he smokes a big un.

Buddys got a Dutton tag - He's down there right now, says he's not shootin under 390 but I guess we'll see what happens, those are pretty high expectations and a pretty broad thing to say. I know i'd get jumpy if I had a 350 bull walk out 40 yds. from me on my first archery kill, maybe he's got better self discipline than me though. Just for the record I say he does get a bull and i'm callin the score at 375-380 right now (leaning towards 375).

I am tagging along on a Monroe Early Rifle Tag this year. Should be a blast! If any of you see any monsters down there between now and then, please send me a note.

I have a Wasatch any weapon tag. I haven't heard of any bulls being killed yet other than the pig killed on the Boulder.

I was down on the Dutton and my friend harvested a 384 bull. It was a tuff hunt the bulls were quiet untill last week and he was able to call him in from across the canyon.We also know of 2 other bulls that were taken on the last day one 340 and another 360+.

a guy in my ward shot a 300 bull on the wastach archery hunt, and his daughter shot a 327 bull on the nebo archery hunt this last month. I would post some pics but I don't have any sorry.

We will try to get some field photos posted on the 384 Dutton bull when we get them scanned.........................This bull has about 68inchs of mass.

Man Utah has their Elk figured out, If a few other states dont start following their lead it will suprize me, here soon a 360 bull will be behind every tree in UTAH, lets hope Nice Bull congrats too the hunter,
