Here is my wasatch bull. He is a 6x7 non typical..

Antlers;
That has got to be one of the crazyiest elk I've seen. If it was his genetic makeup that screwed him up that job well done on taking him out of the gene pool.

Are you geting him head mounted or euro mounted. Very unique trophy for sure.

Awsome bulls guys!

Dead1- I was afraid I would screw his cape up while caping his head out so I just took it to the taxidermist.
I have not seen his skull but when you looked at him dead on his antler base was offset on the side of his head so im not sure if he was injured or not..??
He is unique for sure.. Im am getting him mounted with a slight turn. So the non typical side is showing off the drop tines..
The taxidermist said this year he has seen more nontypicals than ever..
I kick myself once in a while when I see all the monsters I could have taken. Maybe in another 15 years..

dibb03- Thats a nice bull for sure.. What did he score??

=D>

killerbee, I posted a story titled "wasatch bull" Antlersoutwest, we scored him at 320, not a huge bull, but he will look good on the wall.

Great looking bull 338, I take it that it is not your bull. What does it score, and what is the story on it.

No he is not my bull a friend took him. He has a great front end 21 inch thirds and he went 358ish on the mountain fast score then 352 when we took our time. It was a fun hunt passed up ten bulls that day including this bull. with in ten min of sun up we had seen four bulls and fifty plus cows just lookin for the right one at about 10:00am we passed this bull in his bed at thirty yards then it got hot and they shut right up the hunter told us at lunch that "it would not happen again" we asked what would not happen again "pass on a bull like that" he said. So it started to get later in the after noon and cooled off thay started talkin again. So we went back in passed on a little five and then this guy made his mistake and told us where he was so we moved in for a look he gave the hunter a thirty five broad side shot with his smoke pole one shot did the job and come to find out it was the bull we passed that morning in his bed. fun fun hunt !!!!!! was very glad to be a part of it

Here's half of my cow. The other half is hanging in the trees off to my right. I do the quartering without gutting routine on elk and deer.

I had dead batteries in my camera so I went to work cutting her up. When my boys reached my location they took the pics.

Nice elk everyone and congrats on your harvest! =D>

Here are a couple pictures of my brothers bull. We had a blast on the hunt and he shot this bull on the 10th day. I spotted the bull bedded at around 3:00 in the afternoon. My brother put a stalk on the bull and shot him in it's bed from 100 yards away. After watching some video footage we realized this was a bull we had passed up several times earlier on the hunt, but he had moved 3 or 4 miles from where we had last seen him.

Taken Nov.12 2008. This was the first elk with a muzzeloader and i was shooting a .54cal CVA Big Bore Mountain Rifle loaded with 80gr Pyrodex RS, Home cast .530" Round ball and Two .015 patches *One as a buffer* She was taken with One shot through the lungs @ 140 yards. She walked about 60 yards into some thick stuff where i lost view of her, before he fell over into some Oak Brush. Amazing hunt and one that i will remember for a lifetime!
